Notice of Meeting a special meeting will be held on Wednesday 25 August 2010 at 7.00 pm in the WI Hall, Main Street, Cranswick to discuss the East Riding Local Development Core Strategy Preferred Approach & Allocation Potential Sites Consultation. Our current Street Crossing Patrol person will be retiring at the end of September 2010, and we are seeking a replacement. The position is for term time only, mornings and late afternoons,

- Our parish
The civil parish of Hutton Cranswick comprises of just over 2603 hectares. The 2001 census which shows us that there was a population of 2015 in the parish and 848 homes lies 3 miles to the south of the market town of Driffield and 12 miles north of Beverley, home to our principal authority East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Hutton the smaller of the 2 villages lies one mile to the north of Cranswick.
In Hutton you will find the parish church of St Peter's Church located on Hutton Green, The small Hutton Methodist Chapel can be found on Orchard Lane.
A large part of the village is within the Hutton Conservation Area.
Further down the road to the east on Rotsea Lane is the Hutton Cranswick Sports and Recreation Association, home to many village football clubs and the Hutton Cranswick Lawn Tennis Club.
South of the playing field is the beautiful and tranquil Gatehouse Lake fishing and wildlife area run by the Hutton Cranswick Angling Club.
Cranswick is home to a large village green, approximately 6.5 acres in size, beauifully maintained and pride of the village. The Green and some houses along Main Street form part of the Cranswick Conservation Area
The Hutton Cranswick Community Primary School overlooks The Green. The school has stood on the site since 1874.
The village is home to 2 shops, a butcher, fish and chip shop, 2 pubs, 3 garages only one of which sells fuel, a farm shop and a large industrial estate which has a large variety of industries housed upon it.
Sunderlandwick & Rotsea
The hamlet of Sunderlandwick is situated in the north of the parish and is home to Driffield Golf Glub.
Rotsea another hamlet lies in the north east of the parish and is approximately 4.5 miles from Driffield.
